Welcome to the Message Board!
The message board is provided as a tool for a community to develop and for the purpose of allowing group discussions relevant to specific topics. Moreover, we hope to provide a place for everyone to feed off of each other’s creativity in regards to ways to get involved and promote 78violet.
In an effort to keep message board conversation on track and enjoyable for all fans, we wanted to post some rules to keep in mind when you post. The overall rule is to please use common sense: your comments must be respectful in tone, and criticisms constructive in nature.
We have moderators who will review message contents and may remove messages, warn participants of inappropriate behavior, and may ban users if warnings are not heeded. If you have any questions about the rules, or want to check if a response would be appropriate, please first ask a moderator or administrator.
1. Keep it clean – Members of all ages participate in discussions on this board. Messages that are not suitable for children to read will promptly be edited or deleted, based on the moderators' discretion. We do not allow swearing or discussion topics that would be considered "R-Rated."
2. Verbal Abuse – We do not tolerate any verbal abuse of other members. If there are posts from people that are rude and blatantly critical, please do not post criticisms in response to these posts. Please email your complaints to
admin@78violet.com, and we will address the problem ASAP through email with the original poster.
Verbally abusive posts will be immediately removed from the message board by a moderator with no prior notice, followed by an email response to the poster. The removal of posts is completely based on moderator discretion.
3. Disputes between members should be kept between those involved. This board has a profile email feature that allows members to have conversations privately and securely. If you would like the assistance of a moderator, or would like to contact one or all of us directly, simply email us at

4. Privacy violations – You shall in no way violate the privacy of another person. No personal information (names, addresses, email, etc) shall ever be given by anyone other than the person himself or herself. We STRONGLY advise against sharing your own personal information with anyone on the message board.
5. Artist bashing is not permitted. Many of us are fans of several artists in all genre of music. It's inevitable that some of our members will like some artists and not others. While *discussion* about other artists is more than welcome, conversation that turns negative will promptly be discontinued. This also goes for 78violet related musicians and business associates.
6. Any post topic that is going to spark political or religious debate may be deleted at any time without warning. Let's keep this place fun!
7. Respect your moderators. We are here to keep this place clean and fun, so please help us out.
8. Try to make your posts in the most relevant forum. There are descriptions under each forum name to help you decide which forum is most appropriate for your desired topic. If the moderators find that a post is better suited for another topic, they may move it without warning. Additionally, if you have trouble finding a previous post you made, please check other topics or forums with descriptions relating to that post, as moderators may have moved it to a more appropriate topic or forum.
9. Salesmen are not welcome. Member-generated advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are not permitted on this message board, so they will be removed and may result in restricted access to the message board. This is a community, not a private mall or a place for solicitors.
10. Cross-posting messages to multiple forums is considered spamming and may result in restricted access to the message board.
... and that's about it! We welcome discussion on virtually any topic as long as it abides by these rules. Once again, should you come upon a post that you feel is offensive or inappropriate, just email a link to that particular thread to
admin@78violet.com and we'll take a look ASAP. Discipline and control are the staff’s responsibility. Do not take matters into your own hands. Doing so may result in escalation of the situation and cause you to receive a warning in the process.
